Broken screen on laptop

Gah! My toddler has broken the screen on my laptop. I use it to do the payroll for dh's company. Can it be mended or replaced or can the data be transferred?

I'm not looking forward to telling dh and would like to be able to give him some solutions. Thanks for your help!

You can replace the screen - DH did mine (cost around £60 for a new one) and then he did it via YouTube tutorials Blush

Alternatively, any computer repair place should do it with no problems Smile

How technical is your dh?

I had it done at a repair shop for about £80, only took them about an hour :)

Pretty techy - he built our standalone PC and does repairs and troubleshooting for friends with their consoles and PCs. It didn't look complicated but tbh I would be too nervous to do it myself!

Hmm, dh has a techie friend maybe he can help. If not £80 sounds doable! Thanks everyone. Smile

In the meantime, you can just hook the laptop up to an external monitor to allow you to do your payroll.
