I've been waiting for the nexus 10 32gb to comeback into stock. Now it has I'm wavering

Should I get it, or should I get a refurbished ipad 64gb?

Please can someone help me decide

What prices were you expecting to pay for each ?

If you're comparing the Nexus with the iPad 64 GB, even refurbished, I expect a heck of a difference in price, so why choose the iPad 64 GB ?

What do you want to use your tablet for, and why is it important for you to decide now (and not wait for the Nexus, if that's what you've been considering for a while) ?

I have neither, so am asking to find out what's driving your indecision.

Refurbished iPad 64Gb is £539, Nexus 10 around £400. But personally I'd go for the Galaxy Note 10.1 which is £380 on Amazon, has 16Gb memory and an SD card slot. (16Gb SD card should be less than a tenner).

Virtually the same price £389 nexus v £399 ipad

I initially wanted the nexus for the increased flexibility of Android. Not a Fan of the whole apple way or no way with iPads

But then....apps are better on apple

I will use it for playing on the web, music, and (whispers) stuff for the kids, cbeebies and educationumble things, drawing and stuff like that

Nexus 10s are hard to get hold of and in fact I've not managed to get as far as the checkout with their new stock so it may be a moot point anyway

If you're wanting cbeebies games on iPad - you'll be disappointed as they won't work (cbeebies uses flash player which iPads don't support). I have an iPad and love it and have found that to be the only site I've come across that wont work. Lots of apps though suitable for toddlers so they won't miss it :-)

£399 ipad - I'm guessing that's a 2nd gen iPad

I don't have any model of iPad but remember the 3rd generation being considered a significant improvement over the 2nd, but I'm going on what I saw. Here's an article comparing some models. Not sure how much extra the cost is - probably well over 50 quid (they show $50 and we usually end up paying closer to a 1:1 exchange rate after taxes are added).

If you download the Puffin browser from the apps store flash works on Ipad:)

That doesn't help with your decision but just thought it was useful to know.. I can now play facebook scrabble on my ipad and iphone using the puffin browser:)

Have you considered any of the other Android tablets? It isn't just iPad vs Nexus.
