Downloaded a track onto iPhone from iTunes....only plays when connected to wifi!

So it plays fine in the house. As soon as I go out, the track is greyed out and won't play. Any ideas?

I'm going to guess you have icloud turned on and therefore it's playing the track from 'the cloud' as opposed to it being downloaded and actually available at any time on your device. If i'm right the track will have a small cloud icon next to it, and clicking this will download the track to your phone
