I do not use or even have heard of the colourway theme.
I guess you are looking to edit the theme. Do you know CSS well? Colour of footer box is probably in the theme code, probably CSS.

Text boxes - why blank? Could they not just be removed?

how do I leave some text boxes blank?
how do I change the colour of the footer box?

and a few other questions.
