Why is my stupid mobile phone not letting me receive any texts?

I've texted various people this morning with no problems, but the replies they've sent me haven't arrived. It's an ancient nokia and it's doing my head in. Pleeease help.

Which network is this using ? Maybe their message centre has had a major computer crash, after all, they do get worked pretty hard !!

Hi, it's EE but I would have thought if it was a crash at their end that I wouldn't be able to send messages either? APMF - how do I know if the memory's full? I've deleted all the texts I've had in my inbox and the ones that I've sent. Should I do anything else? Thanks for the kind replies.

If you've deleted old texts then memory shouldn't be an issue.

I sometimes get text messages that were sent hours ago. I was still able to successfully send texts during this time. So, from a technical viewpoint the ability to send texts isn't directly related to your ability to receive texts.

Try taking the battery out for about 15 seconds and then putting it back in. It's the phone version of rebooting your PC when it's not working properly.
