Buying a sprinkler, advice please.....

We are having turf laid on friday and have been told that we need to buy a hose pipe and sprinkler to keep the turf wet, so that it does not dry out.

I've not had to buy either of these before, so wondered if there is anything I should be looking out for before I buy.
