Go on, tell me what the good options are! I need something which can screen the re-cycling at the front of the house, so soemthing up to about 4-5ft at most. Would love year round interest, and light leaves if poss.

Any recommendations?

A daphne odora, mine flowered for a month this spring and the fragrence was heavenly. May have a long wait for it to reach 5 feet. Mine is 3 to 4 feet after 6 years.
Sarcococca confusa, (winter box),but also short.
Choisia, skimia, viburnum davidii, viburnum burkwoodii, hebes?
Is it sunny or shady and what is the soil like?
Some tall grasses make a good long lasting screen well into the winter and look very effective in low winter sun.
Dogwoods, cornus sanguinea or cornus alba, not evergreen but eye catching vibrant stems in the winter.

Oh, some good suggestions thanks sliceoflife. It is a sunny area, the soil i'm not too sure on, it does have some ivy roots in there which i don't want to damage too much. So i'll have to start off with smaller plants which grow around the root system.

I'll look up your suggestions now thanks.

Choisya ternata or Aztec Pearl, the larger Hebes, Xmas Box (nice scent in winter), many Viburnum, Skimmia, Griselania, Escalonia (scented flowers) and Pittosporum, there are many to choose from, Tobira is nice and has scented flowers
