Does anyone else get cross with peas?

Why every year, no matter what support I put up for them do my peas completely ignore the supports and instead sprawl across the ground ensnaring innocent weeds in their tendrils? Every year I have to go out and try and persuade them to climb upwards.

silly plants.

Try some old bits of larch or pine sticks to get them going in the right direction ish.

So do I beat them with the sticks then? (a bit of good old fashioned discipline might work wonders)

I sat there for half an hour this afternoon gently untangling tendrils and trying to coax them around netting.

I am cross with my sweet peas because they are not growing. I bought them as little plants and since I transferred them they are just sitting there on strike. Do you think it's because it is quite cold?

It could be cos its quite cold or maybe its a bit dry. Or, more likely I expect they are entering puberty and are therefore sulking.

Good pea emoticon, don't you think?
So, you're saying you have escapeas......

I get cross because the fecking pigeons eat all my seedlings just as they break the soil surface. I swear, the pigeons sit their laughing, as I construst flags, cds on strings, scarecrows etc
