Do lilly beetles eat anything else?

I've got a nasty infestation on my lillies. I've got something to spray them with (too windy today though) but will they effect anything else - if so I'll burn the lillies. TIA

Could you tie a plastic bag round them for now to restrict the movement of the little bleeders. Until you can spray them. Or pick them off? When my mum had them there weren't that many on each plant and they are big enough to see.

They devour snakeshead fritillaries too but they won't be flowering now.

We pick lily beetles off and stamp on them, well actually we pay the eldest to pick them off and stamp on them, 5p a beetle is the current rate.

I hope you are also getting rid of their pupae - they are those little brown gobbetty things that look like poo. That's where all the new ones hatch

I will remember that Spice, thank you, when the fritillaries are out again.
We don't have lilies, but she is supplementing her pocket money quite well at the moment by disposing of rosemary beetles.
