hi i want to turn part of my garden, into the seaside, with a sand pit and a paddling pool......

do you have any ideas how i can make it look good? i was thinking of also putting up some kind of net on the fence with starfish and shells etc on.
and maybe a palm tree with a parrott.

please can you give me any tips or advice, its quite a large south facing garden,

get inspiration from any of the 'dry garden' books - there is a danger it's going to end up looking a bit silly. is this for the kids? or for you? lots of seaside plants growing through gravel/pebbles (membrane underneath?). beware of cats in the sandpit

how else could i seaside theme this bit of the garden? mybe use some type of long grass, to ook like sand dunes?

I had a real boat and used the middle section as a sand pit, never got round to surrounding it with shingle, kids to big for it now and it started to rot so now gone and will be replaced with a caravan for a den .

All gone now, don't thinkI have a pic, can't wait to get the caravan in to the garden, the kids will love it, and I might not see them for hours.

yes thats just the sort of thing i was thinking of, im off to serch that guys website now.
