Mr Burns was the very sweet blokey in charge of the horticultural society

he was utterly charming to ds and insisted on posing for these photos

There wasn't much background info on the other thread, just that ds won first prize for his lettuces (there was not a HUGE amount of competition ) and won £10! He was so chuffed

How lovely. What was the gala/competition?

He is a very bonny boy! DD has just returned from the disco and is admiring his hair.

It was a part of a local festival - the horticultural society had its annual show there and we thought we would enter two of the lettuces ds had grown. I didn't dream he would win but then I didn't dream his would be the only lettuce in the show

How lovely. I know how excited they get when they are young about growing something of their own and winning a prize just tops it all off.

Keep those photos!

LOL lionheart it is a Mooncup holder knitted for me by Pruni

I should have entered it at the horticultural show perhaps, along with the blue tree?
