Sarah Raven - anyone else feel ripped off?

Don't wish to start a new row a la She Who Must Not Be Mentioned - but I have been SO SO SO disappointed by the poor quality of my plug plants from Sarah Raven. Much of the order is overgrown, or starved of light, or just poor quality. I just feel that I have been taken for a complete ride by the company, and I bet SR doesn't even have the faintest way of checking what customers like me feel . I would have done better to have saved my money and gone down the road to the nearest nursery - any of them would have produced a better product than the stuff I have been sent over the last couple of weeks. Sorry, just wondered if I was alone in this.

I thought her catalogue looked stunning ..... but felt the prices were too high !

In view of that, you really should complain. SR isn't going to appreciate how you feel unless you tell her - or try to tell her.

Phone up and tell them immediately - her plants are expensive and should be top quality. I am sure you will get a good response, but do let us know.

I once sent off for some nicotania sylvestris (tall, fragrant, like a bit of shade) from Thompson & MORgan but they'd run out so they kept my money and substituted marigolds (short, yellow, no fragrance, full sun). I got my money back no questions asked.

Have fired off a very stroppy email to SR's customer service dept but the company is obviously huge now, and so I woill be VERY surprised if I get any further than a polite 'we are so sorry' letter if that, but I WILL let you know!
