the frustration of watching grass grow

I sowed rapid grow grass seed last Saturday but there is no sign of anything peeping through. I know mid May is late but the packet said May was still ok and it's not like we've been short of rain.
Do you think it will ever grow??? Am I being too impatient?

it'll grow soon and once it starts it'll shoot up quickly

oh mine was supposed to be rapid and it was nearly 3 weeks before i saw anything. it is BIG now though, after all this rain. it actually needs mowing.

i lovingly checked it every day too

it was sunny last Sat am when I did it but then it has rained nonstop since. Am worried all the seed has drowned.
Have spent a week keeping (most of the time) an 18 month old labrador off it so it had better be worth it!

it'll be okay, it rained when i did ours, i had to reseed some patches where the rain had washed it away.

it's nice though when you start to see the small green shoots

he has occasionally run over it very briefly till I've called him back. Hw did do one wee on it this afternoon so I poured water over it to hopefully dillute.
