Name me a plant that is similar to foxglove

Was at the garden centre yesterday and spotted a beautiful plant. Looks like foxglove in the sense that it has tall "stalks" which open into colourful plants. Looked at the name and have now forgotten. Tried googling with no luck. I'm sure if I saw/heard the name I would remember.

Can anybody help please?

Delphiniums? What colour were they?

Hollyhocks maybe?

How big?

Lupins?

No, neither of these (but thanks anyway!) They came in a variety of colours; white, red, pink etc. Is there a category/name for these type of stalk plants that I could google? These were very similar to hollyhock, but not.

Not lupins either.

Seems we all have the same idea grin.

I don't think it was penstemon; they seemed more "woody". The leaves were cabbage like IYKWIM? The petals hadn't "trumpeted" yet, they were still in little tight balls which were lovely.

Will google mallow now. Thanks a lot for the suggestions!
