REALLY thorn proof gardening gloves?

has anyone found any? We have blackthorn in our garden and need protection while the eradication programme continues. Also brambles etc.

need gauntlet ones in big size so can share with himself. (take it in turns, not one glove each!) All I can find is silly flowery things designed to protect dainty hands when pruning the roses, or more sensible looking ones that don't actually do the job from the reviews.

any suggestions most welcome!

Gold Leaf gloves - expensive, but so worth the extra money.

I think they do a gauntlet version called Tough Touch

I promise you won't regret buying them - I have a pair of their winter garden gloves that are 5 years old and still going strong - prior to that I went through dozens of pairs (and they were all rubbish)

I wear mine when pulling out brambles by hand and have never been scratched once

Thanks for that tip. Just ordered a pair. Lakeland had them at £10.00 off but they are discontinuing so can't seem to order online. Might be worth checking shops if you are near one.

Hi, there - some of the Amazon reviews comment that they come up rather small. What did you find iro sizing?

Thanks!

Another vote for GoldLeaf. I wear cheapo cotton gloves from the pound shop for light gardening jobs, but the GoldLeaf are incredibly robust. When I first got mine, I did think they seemed rather small but in hindsight I think they just needed to be worn in, because now they seem fine (and I guess they have stretched a bit to fit my hands).

I wear rigger gloves for the big jobs - made for the building trade!

Gosh, the GoldLeaf gloves are good. Sizing was fine - snug but not tight - which you need for good grip and where some deterity is required - and nice soft lining. And was able to grap the nettle(s) literally.

Will have to see if it is up to repotting cactus (where previously I would use two pairs og gloves, one over the other, and still suffer mild spine injuries...).

Thanks!

These look good! How small are the ladies gloves? I always seem to end up with Ladies Large size for gloves. Would they fit me?

Hi, they were fine for me as mentioned above - I am normally a medium in washing up gloves. The material is quite supple - ie some give
