Our petrol strimmer breaks every time its used - any suggestions for a new one?

Just that really - our strimmer probably cost a couple of hundred but we can only use it once a year because it always breaks and OH takes ages to get round to fixing it. Can anyone suggest a reliable make?

I have a Stihl FSA 65 cordless strimmer and I love it. It's lighter than a petrol model but just as powerful.

Black & Decker 36v rechargeable battery trimmer. All the convenience of a cordless but with decent power.
