What's this in my shed then...?

A mass (about the size of my hand) of small grey black metallic-looking shiny balls (looks a bit like caviar, only bigger).

I guess they're eggs of some sort, I would just like to know what I'm going to be infested with, when they hatch....

yes, only black and they are piled up on one another, about a couple of cm - I prodded them (gently) with a broom handle and they are soft.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkk, I'd be running out of the shed faster than my feet can carry me at the first sight of 'eggs' in my shed

NdP, know what you mean, gave me a definite shudder and I won't go in there, feel a bit of a wuss about it really....but they are quite beautiful really - looks like molten metal.

They are obviously giant spiders, that will feast on your toes when they hatch

Look, just pop the bloody thing!

Stick some blu tack on the end of your sweeping brush handle, stick a pin in the middle of it and go popping.

Pmsl!

Could be alien spiders - bigger, hairier and blacker than ours!

Report
Nbg · 31/03/2006 12:30

Might they be some form of fly?

Feistybird · 31/03/2006 12:32

dp will be home in an hour. If he wants to, he can pop one....yuck, there is no way I am doing that.

jmum, it does have an other-world look about it. Maybe it's on a reccy from the mother ship and making it's way to my house...
