Hi everyone! I used to live in the midlands and got loads of seeds, plants and bulbs very cheap and decent quality from Wilco. But where I live now alas there is no Wilco and I am a bit stuck where to go to get a decent choice without paying garden centre prices which I just can't afford. Can anyone recommend anywhere in the north-west which might do? Thanks!
What sort of thing are you looking for? I'm always freecycling excess plants or giving them away to friends. If there's a local gardening club then you might be able to get some freebies. Depends how picky you are but I'm always overrun with things that seed themselves around.
I got a load of cheap bulbs at JTF, I don't know if there is one near you or a similar warehouse-type shop. Ebay is good for cheap bulbs too.

Thanks for your reply - I'm looking for anything really. I grow a lot from seed myself but it is probably some shrubs, bulbs, shallot and onion sets, cheap seeds etc that I end up buying in. I will look at JTF, not heard of it but there could well be one nearby. Hadn't thought of freecycle either - that's a great tip, thanks.
