Gardening

are lupins dangerous for dogs/cats/children?

I read that lupin seeds are poisonous, but not sure to whom. One of our dogs is ill and I have observed him eating the lupin leaves.... but trusty google does not seem to be helping me this time.

Thanks in advance!

One site suggests Lupins are poisonous to dogs...give your vet a call.

Thanks Jux. He seems fine today. Vet thinks respiratory infection so gave him lots of injections. He slept all day yesterday and is back barking at the postman today. However, the lupins have been pulled out and burned. (I am a new gardener so did not realise when i planted them.)

I know about new gardening. I've just planted a load of seedlings and have no idea what they are. Will just have to wait until they flower.

Glad the dog's OK.
