ABA BCaBA information please

Hi
I am a proud Mum of a child with autism who has successfully gained so many skills during the last 5 years with a home based ABA program.
My query is, has any other Mum(s) gone onto to do their BCaBA? I believe I have to do 1000 hrs supervision, can this be done within my son's program? Do I need to have more than one child/adult to work with?
I'm doing this solely so I can gain more knowledge and understanding in this science in order to help my son continue to strive
