Doing ou but want to reapply for uni course

Hi all, last year I applied to the local uni to do a ba in education. I didn't get in purely because I had no classroom experience.
So since then I have got a position as a trainee TA in a sen school and started an open degree - with student finance already agreed and course documents already sent out.

I am still interested in attending "proper" university so was wondering where I stand in regard to the credits I will hopefully get on this first year.

Any experience in this? Or am I better off sticking to the OU now I have started!?
