I currently work full time and looking for something I could possibly start after work and gradually do full time.

I found Bra Lady via twitter and it sounds like a good idea. They offer a range of bra's including maternity, nursing, mastectomy etc but the start up costs are a bit higher than I expected.

Initially it's £1000 for a franchise plus £500 for your stock but this is just to start with. There's also support/web chat costs and extra training costs too.

I generally go to M&S or Asda/Tesco for bra's and went to Mothercare for my maternity/nursing bra's

I'd appreciate any feedback as to whether there is a demand for this kind of service.

There is a leaflet advertising this service in my local GP. I think if you lived in an affluent area that was not well served with shops it might work. What would the consumer cost be?

I don't think so, unless you were able to stock really hard to find bras in lovely designs, but even then it would be tough to make a living

I don't know the costs at the mo but I think it's more the personal service they are offering.

A lot of women hate going to the shops to get measured and would prefer someone coming to their own home to measure and fit them.

Especially if you've had surgery, for the mastectomy bra's I wouldn't know where you would go to buy these? The maternity ones I would go to Mothercare, Tesco, Asda etc
