What is the age of the children. how long have they been with you and how many placements have they had, by placements I mean not just foster but placed with family friends etc. Have had children in the past who have experienced over 50 moves in over a 3 year period. Helps too
understand where too start , also if they are of an age where they can understand reasons for problems.

Thank you both very much. Just had a nightmare weekend with him, feel like I have been pecked by a hen!! I am actually quite experienced with RAD, done a fair bit of studying etc and had other placements. It is just that he has escalated recently. We are actually only his second placement but he was never parented as a baby/toddler so he is very resistant. He is also very charming to everyone else so I don't have as much support as I would like Sad It is a bit weird, as if family and friends cannot accept that this child has the same condition as my previous placements, they don't see how it can be possible to have such similar (but also very different) kids. I think he has become more resistant to me because I am getting somewhere with him! We are also going down the permanence road which is probably terrifying the life out of him.
