Having a panic! CWDC

Hello, I am hoping someone will be able to point me in the right direction.
We are coming up to our first annual review, we have been without a link worker for the last 4 months and have now been told that we have to get our CWDC completed in the next month!
Are there any sites I can get information on regarding how to complete it? not actual answers but do I answer all the questions on each page? do I write them in the actual book?
Any ideas or advice greatly appreciated!

Hi Mary, my advice would be to make it as simple as you can. Mine was also a rushed job - as were most of the ones done for my LA - and most of the answers (which I wrote in the book) were one sentence or less, some just one word! My LA were so desperate to sign them off I think I could have written the whole thing in crayon and it'd still have got through.

Mary - absolutely endorse what Scarlet says (retired sw here) and I get so annoyed when foster carers are asked (or told) to do these things, and mostly the sws don't know what it's all about themselves. I have been retired for 7 years and the CWDC thing hadn't started then, but foster carers had to do portfolios and evidence of this that and the other (can't remember the phraseology) and the fact that you have no link worker does not help.

Worry no more, just do as Scarlet says - Scarlet your comment about the crayon made me smile - maybe you could just draw pictures!

All it means is that a box can be ticked and whatever you have produced will probably gather dust on a shelf.

Does it have to be CWDC (dull, dull, dull)? Does anyone know if LAs will accept an alternative qualification??
