Hello to everyone.
Please can you tell me if you have been to one of the above reviews. How should i prepare for it and what kind of things go on etc etc.

Yep.
BP didn't turn up, so we got a lot of information; some of it I wish I hadn't heard, quite frankly.

We didn't have to prepare for it really, it was a matter of being there, listening to everything and putting our opinions across with regards to LO's development behaviour after contact- very important; reviewing the care plan and whether or not LO was going to stay on the CP register.

I must admit some of it passed me by though, because I was reeling from the "real" story from SS :(

Just been to our first LAC review! I was asked about how LO was doing, settling well, routine etc, just normal stuff. Definitely no preparation needed.
The rest of it was listening to everyone else discuss the Care Plan, the history, people involved, which was very interesting, and actually very heartening, as they all seemed to want the same thing, and might actually be organised enough to achieve it!!
I recommend you take a notebook, and your diary, as they will hopefully set a date for the next review (s).

Thanks, i've been asked to do a brief report on the kids. I am going to see the mum for the first time as well. she hasn't been allowed any contact and i feel this is harsh, she is alchoholic and there are elements of neglect because of that, but she needs help.
It will be interesting to see what else comes up on the day. Nervous about meeting the Mum though.
