Well, we all have crap times as FC, but I started this so we could put some of the positive things up and maybe even, a little bit, boast about how fab our LO's are (some of the time Grin)

So, I will get started with- Today, LO ate all her dinner with a fork (not fingers) and mananged to quell the urge to cram so much in at one time she has to spit it out.

She has also learned to say "apple" and "poo" (!)

What a lovely choice of words!

My youngest Fc, has decided he wants to be a big boy, and insists sitting there with the largest paper/book he can find, saying "I reading"

They are a joy!

My nearly 3 year old said "Oh you are a lovely girl" and he frequently puts my glasses on and reads a book upside down!

It's been many years since I have been called a girl for obvious reasons Grin

I don't know whether this counts as a highlight or not but I smile every morning when I go and get baby up and he says "Dada" to me. I'm a girl.

I just stumbled onto this thread. I'm not a foster carer but I know a family whose children were fostered before they adopted them. You guys do an amazing job Smile I hope you have many more happy moments, your foster kids are all lucky to have you.

Hearing that LO is the star of pre-school and everyone wants to be her friend Smile.

She's having her first playdate tomorrow and has really bonded with one particular shy little girl - the workers can't believe how this other girl comes out of her shell when LO is around her.

I've just seen them both playing outside together and it brought a strange wet feeling in my eyes Grin - priceless

We had a first tentative chuckle, so very sweet. Plus our 3 yr fc talked about the light being dark these days!!

Hi everyone, hope you are all well. I am so busy....nearly moving house...2-3 weeks to go, hard work with baby and 3 yr old, plus 3yr old had sickness bug last night, it was everywhere. We are all just waiting to get it now :(
