Yes, the basic response was we will have words, same contractor a few times, if he continues his behaviour next time I have to endure him here I will be pushing for something official. Fed up of wasting my breath now.

The same contractor ahs been out 5 times since october to look at our boiler/heating/airing cupboard.
and nothing ahs been acheived. he was here for 45 mintues yesterday and never eveen looked at boiler or heating or in airing cupboard, just stood in the dining room looking pictures, peering over my shoulder while I was doing something on PC, wandered into living room and said "oh your tv isn't on, don't you watch it much then"

You need to make an official complaint throughout the help desk make sure you get a ref number and then you can go through the HIC and ask for the work to be checked by the quality control guy. This guy is there to specifically flag up any issues over the employees and their work, he works for the MOD not modern housing and is in charge of the budgets, if he thinks nothing has been done then he will stop payment on the job and then your contractor will definitely get to know how useless he is. We saw ours the other day and he was withholding money as when our glass was replaced in the front door the guy didn't do the touch up paint

Thanks for that info pimms, I messages saltire as I suspected we had an issue with the same guy. We do! Whenever I've tried to complain I've never got beyond the help desk and being told oh I'm sure he didn't mean it/ did his best/ was a bit stressed with Christmas etc etc we will have a word. Personally I've reached the end of my tether and had intended to push a complaint if I have reason to again so your info is really handy

That guy sounds so dodgy I wouldn't want him in my house and I believe you're quite entitled to tell MHS/HIC and refuse him entry.
