March seems so far away...

DH went to Afghan a fortnight ago.
It's the fifth time he's been away for a four-monther since we've been together, second time he's missed Christmas, and the second time since we've had DD. It shouldn't feel any different, but this time it does and I'm not sure why.

DD is 3, and is being brilliant. No tears, just questions, and perfectly happy with the situation.

It just feels like March is so far away. It's horrible. Just wanted to vent really.

Have a big hug cryhavoc ((()))

It's hard isn't it? I am secretly chuffed this week as DH is away on a course for 6 days and I have the remote control and the bed to myself! But I know what those long deployments are like and do sympathise. I think they get harder the more you do - DHs last deployment was the worst.

The kids are a mixed blessing - you're glad they keep you busy but when they're in bed you're stuck in the house all alone. And it's relentless doing it all.

Vent away, and be kind to yourself smile

Thank you.

It's just crap. I know all the stuff to do to make it easier - we have stuff planned, we've got a routine, plenty of little treats...we're just at the stage when it's stretching out for miles and miles ahead.

I love it when mine does little courses too.

Cryhavoc hope you are feeling better now.

I think maybe it feels like such a long way away because there was a quite a while till christmas and then there would still be months to go afterwards...

BUT, here we are a couple of weeks down the line and only 5 weeks till christmas.

Keep your chin up and enjoy DD. Keep sending him pictures and eblueys and mostly keep in touch with other wives (hope DH isn't an IA) and your support group.

Be as good to yourself as you would be to your best friend.
