I'll start- pile of home made pakora, some chicken ones & some veg ones, with chilli sauce and yogurt dip. Served with salad. Not the healthiest by the kids have been asking for them for a week or two.

What's yours?

Mintyy Sun 16-Mar-14 14:35:00

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, stuffing, broccoli, green beans, carrots and gravy. Probably ice cream and berries for pudding.

atthestrokeoftwelve Sun 16-Mar-14 14:36:52

Oh yummy- sounds lovely. We are having roast chicken tomorrow.

Bacon risotto, not very exciting but DD wants it.

Pork and prawn meatballs in miso soup. I'm hung over and need something reviving -beyond the big Mac I had for breakfastwink -

TheArmadillo Sun 16-Mar-14 14:53:33

We had a big lunch (beef, carrot and red wine stew) so probably whatever we can scavenge, especially as due to go food shopping tomorrow.

mrspremise Sun 16-Mar-14 15:06:48

pesto lasagne

bigkidsdidit Sun 16-Mar-14 15:09:41

We've just had roast chicken, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrots, peas and broccoli. Tonight we'll just have cheese on toast.

RubberBulletKisses Sun 16-Mar-14 15:18:07

Minced beef and yorkshire puddings, with carrots, peas and whatever other frozen veg I can be arsed to chuck in the steamer smile

ImATotJeSuisUneTot Sun 16-Mar-14 15:18:22

Sausage tacos, according to DP. Hmm.

MrsDavidBowie Sun 16-Mar-14 15:20:32

M and S curry..should have had it last night but we went out instead.

HeyMicky Sun 16-Mar-14 15:22:31

Roast chicken here, too. Cooked with chilli and lemon, with buttery couscous and green beans on the side

It's lovely and sunny here today so doing roast chicken with Caesar salad and crusty bread smile

ItStillLooksLikeRainDear Sun 16-Mar-14 15:25:57

Roast lamb, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, Yorkshire puddings, stuffing, broccoli, carrots and gravy. Yummy. Must go & put the lamb in the oven now.

Marrow Sun 16-Mar-14 15:25:59

Fish pie.

Raxacoricofallapatorius Sun 16-Mar-14 15:26:34

Bangers and mash, veg, onion gravy.

Ginger cake and custard.

Ooh I need some inspiration, also a bit hungover and have managed to eat a sausage and cheese sandwich for breakfast but haven't had anything else since then.

I really fancy lasagne and chips but
a. Am doing SW and weigh in tomorrow
b. Can't be arsed to make it

I love pesto and love lasagne - never had them together - is there a recipe MrsPremise

We are having Masala Roast Chicken - a mix between the Hairy Bikers and Madhur Jaffrey, probably with rice and veggies.

Capitola Sun 16-Mar-14 15:28:28

We're having the pasta dish which is promoted in store at m&s at the moment.

It involves papardelle, butternut squash, courgettes, chicken & mushrooms. Sadly, the essential ingredient - the paste, was completely sold out. Dh is confident he can recreate it. I don't cook, so I can't complain.

jessabell Sun 16-Mar-14 15:37:56

Minestrone soup in slow cooker

CrispyHedgeHog Sun 16-Mar-14 15:41:51

I've made a curry - smells gorgeous, can't wait grin

mumbaisapphirebluespruce Sun 16-Mar-14 15:43:52

Roast chicken with lemon, thyme and garlic. Roasted root veggies; beetroot, parsnips and carrots, possibly with a yoghurt dressing.

Eminybob Sun 16-Mar-14 15:44:53

Slow roasted pork shoulder with chilli and beer. Recipe courtesy of James Martin. DP's fave.

atthestrokeoftwelve Sun 16-Mar-14 15:45:13

capitola- how do you get away with not cooking?

thefirstmrsrochester Sun 16-Mar-14 15:49:17

Almost the same going down here mum
Lemon, garlic & rosemary roast chicken, crispy (crosses fingers) roasties, roast root veg, stuffing and gravy.

Drooling in anticipation.

Oh, and an amaretti and peach pudding that dd is planning on putting together.

Oh I love vegetable pakora. Have never made it though, as I'm scared of deep fatfrying!

The carnivores have got some gammon and I've got nut cutlets, plus loads of veggies. Baby figs for pud, with natural yoghurt and honey.

ThursdayLast Sun 16-Mar-14 15:53:00

I am also slow roasting a shoulder of pork, with mustard and cider among other things. Going to 'pull' it later and have with tiger rolls, sweet potato wedges and coleslaw.

Yum thurs
And where can you buy baby figs remus? I have had them in Pizza Express with crem fraiche (sp?) and they were lovely.

Giraffeski Sun 16-Mar-14 16:02:09

Roast dinner at the ILs- so not sure which variety but just so glad I don't have to cook it myself. Currently suffering from horrendous morning sickness but FILs roast potatoes are to die for so hoping they feature as I think I could eat a massive plate full of them alone!

atthestrokeoftwelve Sun 16-Mar-14 16:05:21

remus I'm not keen on deep fat frying either. I have a huge pot, 12" high, and put in 4" of oil to keep things safe.

I cook pakora in small batches amf transfer to a plate lined with kitchen roll.

I hope it goes better than my attempt at sticky toffee pudding this morning. That went in the bin sad
Like the sound of a sausage and cheese sandwich Checky

DH making barbecue (braai in S African parlance). Chicken and sausages. Mieliepap (maize meal) with tomato and onion sauce. Mixed veg. I am working upstairs and he will call me when it is ready!!

CointreauVersial Sun 16-Mar-14 16:15:05

Planning to have a Barbecue here! And it's March!! grin grin Sausages, burgers, marinated chicken and salad.

PeggyTheGuineaPig Sun 16-Mar-14 16:16:55

Mmmmm sticky toffee pudding. I have never even attempted to make anything like that, I must try one day.

Roast chicken with zatar and lemon. Roast onions and peppers with oregano and garlic. When these come out of the oven I'm going to toss through some feta and mint.

To go with homemade flatbreads and a chilled glass of rose grin

Charlie - the baby figs are fresh ones from Sainsbo's, but they are not as baby as the yummy Pizza Express ones, which I think are probably dried and then soaked in booze before cooking. The Pizza Express ones are with marscapone, I think - the only reason I ever go to PE tbh!

xalyssx Sun 16-Mar-14 16:26:28

Homemade macaroni cheese tonight. We were going to have it last night, but DP had friends over so I did the roast then.

I really, really want pakora now. sad

Ta remus I might be and get some tomorrow!

I am being good and having Linda McCartney sausages with mash and veg, very SW friendly more so than the sausage sandwich earlier grin

ThursdayLast Sun 16-Mar-14 17:57:23

Well Peggy, if you ever do, let me know how it turns out grin
Mine is looking v sad in the bottom of the bin right now

Capitola Sun 16-Mar-14 18:10:41

This is making me want figs! But with salad & Parma ham.

atthestrokeoftwelve, I can cook, but my dh loves it with a passion so we have gradually got into a set up where he does it all as he's so good at it. If he's away the kids generally get pasta.

FabBakerGirl Sun 16-Mar-14 18:18:40

I am probably going to have cheese on home made bread, toasted and crisps. Made by DH.

I made lunch - roast chicken, Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, stuffing, sprouts, green beans and gravy. Mango, cherries, kiwi and a banana, walnut and choc chip muffin.

FabBakerGirl Sun 16-Mar-14 18:20:50

I forgot the parsnips! We always have parsnips grin.

PoloMintCity Sun 16-Mar-14 18:25:04
