New motherhood and maternity leave overexcitement with domesticity: I've just realised I'm 40 minutes into a recipe which starts:

"Boil two oranges for two hours"

I'd like to open bets on me ever managing to complete this cake with a 27 day old baby in hand.

oh



well the house smells nicely of oranges. am off out to

  1. get my eyes tested
  2. buy baking powder
  3. try breastfeeding in a new place in public (i'm sooo nervous)
  4. buy a cake time to receive this fabbo cake, shld it ever get done.

its 1825 and its cooked. now got to leave it for ever to cool. will taste it arond midnight, i'm guessing.

Well done, I would have chosen those exceedingly good cakes in the first place. At least you tried, best we can do is fairy/butterfly cakes.

OK, it was good, very good. very grown up taste and texture. will make it again. in 2018.
