Jamie's Dinners Maryland chicken- disaster!!

I've just taken it out of the oven having followed his recipe to the letter and my chicken is swimming in the wine and milk and looks awful whereas in the picture it tooks as though all the liquid has gone. The recipe called for a large glass of white wine and 300 mls of double cream but as I'm not a regular cook this doesn't mean anything to me.
any ideas where i went wrong?

Was the oven definitely hot enough? And was the food in long enough?

So long as the chicken is cooked it'll be ok to eat, or you could leave it to cook a little longer to boil of the liquid, may help to stir a little cornflour to thicken it up.

the knob on the oven is certainly showing the correct temperature and it's only 2 years old so hopeuflly it's working okay and I left it in for an extra 10 minutes as it looked so runny.

it's not really a sauce as such as it's got corn and butterbeans in it and they are supposed to stay whole. but in the picture you cant see a sauce at all, it just looks moist.

thanks irishbird, at least now I know it's not just me. I'm just getting into cooking and take it really personally when a dish turns out poorly. I've separated the chicken and most of the corn/beans and cooked that a bit more and then will just poor some of the leftover sauce over it. fingers crossed it tastes okay - it smells delicious.
