My 11 yr old DD is a novice in the kitchen but keen to make fudge on her own... Any suitable, foolproof and simple recipes please.

Making fudge involves really hot sugar so it isn't the ideal thing for someone young to make - you really want to supervise fairly closely if you are going to let her have a go
This is the recipe I use www.carnation.co.uk/recipes/67/ultimate-fudge - it uses condensed milk so is a bit easier and quicker than the versions that use evaporated or normal milk

Thank you for the recipe, will try it. And yes I will be supervising!

If you join the group 'slow cooked wonders' on Facebook there are lots of recipes for slow cooker fudge that would be ideal - it's not genuine fudge, the recipes are basically 500g choc, tin of condensed milk and a knob of butter, but very easy to make and very delicious!
