I'm trying to clear out my freezer & have got prawn & frozen cod fillets out for tonight but not actually sure what to do with them Confused. Has anyone got a decent recipe using these as key ingredients? I've got a well stocked larder cupboard and lots of green beans to use Grin.

I was thinking of some sort of tray bake with roasted peppers, onions & chopped tomato but worried it will be quite bland without herbs or spices but I'm rubbish at knowing what goes well with what so maybe someone can help here?

Season & bake the cod, meanwhile make a white sauce add the prawns a few minutes before the cod is done, take the cod out of the over & ladle the prawny sauce over the cod.

Smoother cod in mango chutney and drizzle sweet chilli sauce over prawns. Chop cod into chunks and thread alternate pieces onto wooden skewers then grill.

Cut up cod into chunks, make a prawn and cod Red Thai Curry with Red Thai curry paste, coconut milk, green beans (I did this recently it was great), peppers, handful of peas or other veg, grated carrots, etc. Serve with rice, fresh coriander, and crushed cashews on top for crunch.

Thank you I went for curry in the end but will certainly try some of the other suggestions another day and never buy rancid budget frozen cod fillets again

I make it Mornay-style, similar to first recipe but with grated cheese over the top, and sometimes in a buttered casserole dish, either over cooked new potatoes or with mashed at one side and peas on the other.

Our local chippy (coastal) serves something similar, which is very popular.
