Hi all, please forgive what it probably a stupid question - I'm not a big cheese person so know barely anything about cheese!
I'm cooking carbonara from scratch for tea, I will hold my hands up and admit I usually just buy a ready made sauce but my brother made some fresh the other day and it was beautiful so wanted to recreate it.
He grated what I presume was fresh Parmesan however I couldn't find any when I was shopping earlier so I got Pecorino Romano purely because it looked the same shape can I substitute Parmesan for that or will it taste weird?
Thanks in advance!
