A 'tea tonight?' thread anyone?

TweeBee · 31/05/2016 17:24

So.... Is anyone interested in a thread where we all say what we are having for tea / dinner depending on where you live, and I can steal your lovely ideas. Hopefully we could share ideas?
We are having turkey burgers in buns with corn on the cob and salad tonight, homemade pizza tomorrow.

OP posts:

Bangers and mash. Thought it went nicely with the brewing storm.

Couldn't be arsed to peel the spuds though so the mash might look a bit odd. I'll serve it in a flower pot and pass it off as 'hipster'.

Wink

Risotto with leftover chicken from yesterday, chorizo and prawns with some green salad

Cookingongas · 31/05/2016 17:28

Roast squash, red onions and chilli in flatbread with salad. Beautiful weather here- no storm to be seen -yet-

LillyVonSchtupp · 31/05/2016 17:28

Pork ragu with pappardelle, parmesan and garlic bread.

And a big glass of red.

coldofhands · 31/05/2016 17:29

Sausages, baked potatoes and veggies - carrots, peas and green beans I suspect (due to lack of imagination on my part)

BestIsWest · 31/05/2016 17:29

Roast chicken, jersey royals, corn on the cob, salad and lashings of butter.

KingJoffreyLikesJaffaCakes · 31/05/2016 17:30

Ooo, yes!! Red wine.

That's what my evening is missing!!

Timeforabiscuit · 31/05/2016 17:30

God these all sound good, it's rainy here and I'm feeling lazy so fish and chips or pizza here.

georgiatraher · 31/05/2016 17:31

Smashed tomato Pasta.

Roasted cherry tomatoes in sugar, salt and olive oil.
Fry garlic and chilli together, add the wilting tomatoes and the oil from the oven. sprinkle oregano.
cook down, smooshing the tomatoes against the pan. add a spoonful of pasta water and a smidge of butter to make it go shiny.
serve over pasta or rice noodles.
DROOL. A family favourite and SO simple and delicious.

Bloody windy here; we are having Pollock with a sundried tomato topping, cold fried potatoes and steamed French beans followed by home grown rhubarb crumble and custard

Heyheyheygoodbye · 31/05/2016 17:33

Chicken fajitas! Can't wait. Need to grab some wraps at the shop while picking DH up from station.

Niklepic · 31/05/2016 17:33

Beef burgers, corn on the cob, salad and sweet potato chips for me. DC will have French fries because they don't like sweet potato as they're strange (DC not SP)

MajesticSeaFlapFlap · 31/05/2016 17:34

Pizza from asda
1 vegetable and 1 meat feast

Vanilla cheesecake for pud

Lolimax · 31/05/2016 17:34

Steak and oven roasted veggies. Only because we went to a local market today and the produce looked amazing! Steak midweek (or at all!) is a rare (or in my case medium to well done, no blood please) treat.

Yum!
Georgia- for the thickies ( ie me) how long do you put cherry Tom in oven for?
Cooking on gas- where the HELL are you? It's pissed down all day.
Me? I'm serving gruel ...

JennyBunn · 31/05/2016 17:38

Envy at posters and their lovely teas. I'm into the THIRD week of having a new kitchen put in and the novelty of takeaways/pizza/eating out has well worn off. Kids want to go to the local Greek restaurant this evening which softens the blow as I like Greek lager.

nuttymango · 31/05/2016 17:38

pizza express margherita and sloppy guiseppe pasta as it's on special offer - one with tomato and chilli sauce the other with tomato and basil sauce for the lightweights! Rhubarb crumble for dessert.

and maybe a glass or two or three of wine to follow.

MadHattersWineParty · 31/05/2016 17:40

Creamy Chicken and basil lasagne and a green salad. Using the chicken I pulled off the huge bird we had for roast dinner yesterday.

the fox family in the park opposite got the carcass Grin

Hulababy · 31/05/2016 17:41

Vegetable story fry, with soy sauce, served with noodles. I may add some quorn stir fry strips in for me, not decided. DH and Dd are having it with strips of duck.

Meringue, yogurt and fruit for dessert..

Day 2 of SW though - so keeping within the limits.

Shadow1986 · 31/05/2016 17:41

Fillet steak, a few French fries and Greek salad. Although I have terrible heartburn (pregnancy) so I don't think I'll be eating anything at this rate!

MyBreadIsEggy · 31/05/2016 17:41

DD has just had leftover sausage pasta bake with garlic bread.....DH and I have both had a miserable day, so are having Dominos pizza when she's gone to bed Blush

OH's making dinner tonight as I'm working late, so I've just text him to find out what we're having...

"A chicken, chorizo, jalepeno, tomato sauce pasta thing" was the reply!

Bryt · 31/05/2016 17:43

Sausages, mash, carrots, peas and leftover red cabbage. Cooked by DH, not me. Definitely in need of some warming, comfort food.

insan1tyscartching · 31/05/2016 17:45

Sausage, mash and baked beans here, strawberries, meringue and cream/ice cream for pudding. Not in the mood today and sausages needed using up yesterday
