Rescue our lasagna?

Anyone got any tips for hydrating undercooked lasagna sheets once baked??

DH made a lovely (massive) one and we want the leftovers for tea tomorrow (because it will save either of us cooking). He was unaware of my DM's unbreakable rule 'Thou shalt not put uncooked lasagna sheets in despite what it may say on thou box' and as should therefore there is a chunk of solid pasta in the middle. Hmm

Any suggestions?

Just cook it slowly. It'll cook through. He's cooking it too quickly.

How long was it in the oven for and how wet was the sauce? This has never happened to me, if the pasta was pre cooked surely it would be mushy before the cheese was properly ?

If there's a fair bit of sauce, probably just put foil on top and slowly warm in the oven, the pasta will cook through that way probably.

Stab through the layers several times, or lift the solid pasta part, add some pasatta or greek yoghurt/fromage frais or stock for some moisture, cover with foil and reheat slowly. If the top looks mangled, add grated cheese for the final few minutes of cooking.
