Which spiralizer?

It looks like there's quite a difference in the available options - sideways, top-to-bottom, collect it in a bowl or in an attached container...

Anyone had the change to compare models or tell me if any are flimsy or annoying and worth avoiding?

Don't bother with the ones that look like two pencil sharpeners stuck together. They only seem to grate half of the vegetable you're using, and then you have to stick your hand in and risk slicing your fingers off although I may just be inept.

I think I know the kind you mean.

Any other recommendations (or anti-recommendations)?

Ok I've now tried two. Firstly this one
www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002USUAH8/ref=lp_1740852031_1_2?srs=1740852031&ie=UTF8&qid=1441379272&sr=8-2&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21
Does the job but is tricky to position the veg at the right angle. Takes up a lot of room in your cupboard, annoying to clean and I couldn't face getting it out - ever!
Next i bought this one
www.amazon.co.uk/Microplane-Hand-Held-Spiral-Slicer/dp/B00MOK72N2/ref=pd_cp_201_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=1M6F79BWRQMFV4Y565WJ&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21
I only want to make courgette pasta and this one does the trick - it won't shred the whole of the courgette - the centre is left...but that is the soft bit. I'll chuck it in whatever sauce I use - but go figure the amazon reviews certainly don't agree with my opinion.
