I am bored of the same rotation of meals that I keep cooking and need some inspiration. I know this topic is done to death, but most of the threads when I searched were mid-winter and so possibly not quite the same as what people are cooking now.

We aren't particularly fussy, although we don't eat too much meat and DS2 is lactose intolerant (plenty of dairy/lactose free alternatives available though so most recipes can be adapted). The biggest problem we have is time - DH and I work FT and our 3 DC (who are 13, 11 and 9) do lots of activities like football, rugby, hockey, wind band, orchestra, piano lessons, Brownies, swimming etc so food prep needs to be either very quick or something that can be put in the slow cooker in the morning.

This week's meal plan was:
M - Veggie burgers and wedges with peas
T - Spaghetti Bolognese with crusty bread and salad
W - Falafels with couscous, hummus and salad
Th - Fajitas with corn on the cob and salad
F - Spicy sausage pasta with broccoli
S - Korma with rice and nan bread and cauliflower
Su - Spanish Tortilla with crusty bread and salad

Now your turn!

I see a gnocchi theme...

Do you make your own gnocchi or buy it?

One of my maybes for next week was gnocchi with the same spicy tomato sauce and sausages that I put with pasta. What is your sausage gnocchi recipe Charley?

my family are currently at the mercy of my pregnancy induced "food swings" and inability to give a shit

so this week we have mostly been eating:

  • smoked salmon and cream

cheese bagels
  • super noodles with hot sauce.

DP has been supplying takeaways or gently suggesting we go see my parents for supper quite often.

Jools' pregnant pasta keeps being mentioned, I think the recipe is in one of the JO books I have. I'll have to take a look.

I've reserved 15 minute meals from the library too, I have the 30 minute one but sometimes that is too long on a weeknight!

I used to love cooking, back when it was just me and DH and we had all evening to cook and eat while we talked about our day. Now it feels like a race against the clock every night.

just done ours ahead of farmer's market tomorrow - we're a mostly vegan household so most of ours should work for you

Build you own burritos and trimmings (sauteed peppers for me, carnitas for everyone else)
Heirloom tomato soup with h/m olive rolls
Dhal, mushroom and aubergine rogan josh, poppadums, rice and naan

then I'm out one night so DH and DC can have a spag bol out the freezer, and DH and I are both out another night so lucky DC get a freezer to oven meal of pizza, fish fingers, peas and chips
