Can you recommend a rice cooker for cooking brown rice and quinoa? (I sadly can't afford a Zojirushi...)

I am rubbish at cooking rice, possibly because I often cook when slightly frazzled and/or tired. I love things that make life easier!

The Zojirushi seems to have really good reviews but I can't justify one for my first rice cooker...and I'm not sure if it would do brown rice or quinoa.

Tefal 8-1 has mixed reviews, but I don't really want all the other functions and apparently it is not as good as their old 4 in one.

I'm not sure what other ones are out there? £50 is probably the max atm.

I have the tefal 8-1 and love it. Have used for white rice/brown rice/rice pudding but not quinoa yet. We particularly love making porridge in it on the delay function so that it's ready in the morning. It's a good slow cooker too.

I have the 8 in 1 as well, and it works great for white/brown/sushi rice and as a slow cooker

Thats good to know, thank you. It would be good if the 8 in 1 worked out as there seem to be loads about at good prices.
