reaction to grapes?

I gave my ds 2.5, grapes this afternoon for the first time in quite a long time, he's never had any problem with them in the past but I didn't get to his full nappy immediately (we were at the park so poor lad was in it for 45 mins maybe before I noticed. By the time I got him to bed this evening his bottom and front parts were so sore, he had sores all over his cheeks, it was awful, has anyone experienced a simular reaction with their child?

not to grapes - but with dried apricots my boys get that. I think it might be something to do with the preservatives/pesticides they use (mutters - someone told me something about sulfites and grape juice on here a few days ago).

Apricots usually have E220 in them wihich is a no no in my book, I shop with a book called the Chemical maze.I did wash the grapes well, but who knows as they were from the supermaket not the local market I usually use. He only has one sore left this morning, but that one looks nasty and is very painful for him. shall go on the net and look up sulfites, thanks.
