Treacle tart without precooking pastry case

Does this work? I've seen a few recipes where the syrup & breadcrumbs go straight into the raw pastry case, but does the pastry cook properly? I don't want to end up with a soggy bottom.

Yes, its does work. This was my first attempt at treacle tart a few years ago and it worked a treat.

Fantastic, thanks! The Mary Berry recipe looks good, I might use that one.
