Clearing out my cupboards and have a lot of tinned tuna. We use a lot for sandwiches/tuna melts/baked potatoes/various pasta bakes/fish cakes. DH doesn't like tuna in quiche or on pizza. Any other ideas please?

Heat a good slug of olive oil, couple of crushed cloves garlic, a chilli then add a tin or 2 of tuna, olives and fry for about 10 mins and have with pasta. My husband's Italian mother makes this and its alot nicer than it sounds. Cook it so the tuna gets a bit crispy!

Tuna and bean salad. I make one similar to this except I prefer flageolet beans. Lovely served with crusty bread!

i have started using it in pasta - in a tomato sauce. Add anchovies to 'fish it up' a little and it's great.

Quick and easy.

Scwartz packet mix for tuna napolitana is lovely. Just add tinned tuna and milk and tomato puree. One of our favourite dinners. It is another pasta dish though!

Italian lentil salad.

Tin of green lentils (or you can cook your own)
Red onion, chopped
Cherry tomatoes, chopped
Fresh coriander, chopped
Tin of tuna

For dressing:

Olive oil
White wine vinegar
garlic, finely chopped or from a tube/ jar
Wholegrain mustard
Salt and pepper

Mix all together - yummy!

thanks everyone, some great ideas there. I often make tuna salads for buffets, never think of making them for "tea"!

Tuna mayonnaise in a wrap, fold in half and fry in a pan until brown and crispy. Cut into triangles. Makes a change from sandwiches.

Different fishcakes with Indian flavours - tin of tuna, leftover mash or grated cold boiled potatoes, clove of garlic finely grated, handful of chopped coriander, good squeeze of lemon and finely chopped green chilli, though I leave this out if making for DCs. Mix well, shape, dip in semolina then beaten egg then semolina again, then fry.

Cook pasta.
Wilt spinach or defrost frozen spinach.
Drain pasta and stir in spinach, tin tuna, jar pesto.
Good hot but better cold (so makes perfect packed lunch with leftovers)
