Is therea way of taking the saltiness out of something.....

like what?
i usually wash anything that has been kept in brine and that seems to work. but not entirely sure what sort of things you need to remove the salt from

Um- do you mean neutralising the salty taste or actually reducing harmful affects of salt?

If former you could try adding sugar/sweet tastes.
If latter have no idea!

it would depend on what it is, if you have cooked a stew or a soup, you can add potatoes I think and they soak it up
