Looking for inspiration for fussy eaters

My DTs are 17 months and v fussy. There are 2 meals that they will reliably eat:

Fish fingers and chips
Roasted veg (blended) over pasta with cheese.

They will also eat peas, sweetcorn and homemade cheese biscuits.

Does anyone have any other ideas of what I can try them with? I'm sick of throwing away food and they're waking in the night for milk again.

I still give them pouches of baby food for lunch. Which is ridiculous as they're toddlers now!

Thanks

HOw about some cous cous or wraps with the roasted vegetables inside?
Baked potatoes, chicken fingers, quesadillas with cheese and sweetcorn, rice with peas, beans on toast with cheese, tuna.

What flavours of pouches do they eat? Maybe start from there by making your own of the same flavour and adding to it every few days?

Thanks. That's given me some more ideas.

I made homemade chicken nuggets last night. They normally won't touch meat, so I blended the chicken with courgette and fried it with breadcrumbs. They ate them!

I tried wedges last week, but they wouldn't eat them. I'll try the sweet potato chips next I think.

They will eat pizza, but don't have very much. Any other sort if bread gets thrown in the floor!

Rice, eggs, beans... all have been rejected in the past. I know I have to keep offering them different foods, but I'm just so fed up of the waste. And at this age if they don't eat anything, should I offer them an alternative of something they'll eat (a pouch probably) or let them go hungry? I try not to give in sometimes, but now they're waking in the night for milk.

Their favourite pouch is an Ella's chicken casserole. I made a homemade version, with exactly the same ingredients- they weren't very keen!

I think it's a texture thing with them. They like things that breakdown easily in their mouth I think. I've bought a blender to try and smooth their food a bit more, but apart from pasta sauces I can't think what else to make. And anyway, should I still be blending at this age?!
Thanks

I would give them a little of what you know they will eat and then some of what you are eating. No need to make them something different at this stage and lessens the workload for you.

My DS is quite fussy and I am sure it is a texture thing also. He will reliably eat compact solid things like burgers, chicken strips, bread, fish fingers but not bitty things like mince. He won't eat any fruit or vegetables either (texture). I give him some pureed soup then what we are having. If it's something I don't expect him to eat much of I put a little of something he will eat on his plate. If it's something he will reliably eat then I put something on his plate he may also not eat.
