delicious stress free at home anniversary dinner - ideas needed

Anniversary in a few days, unable to go out so dh has said he is happy to cook or we can order in. Takeaways round here are hit and miss and dh won't be home til around 7.30 so it needs to be something uncomplicated but delicious to have with champagne. Usually I would be full day f ideas but am feeling weak and hormonal and just cannot be arsed. If I left it to him it would be steak. I love ve steak but have overdosed on red meat recently so am right off it. I am happy to have a 'ready meal' type of thing from waitrose/m&s or cold things but cannot get my brain in gear. We are going shopping tomorrow and will have access to both of the shops mentioned so suggestions welcome. I like healthy vegetarian/fish meals, dh is more of a meat and 2 veg kind of guy but we both like spicy. I'd like something where I don't feel bloated and like shit the next day.

What on earth shall we get so that both of us are happy and not having completely different meals like we usually do (!)

Tia

Do you both like fresh tuna steaks? i usually have them with new potatoes, carrots and sugar snap peas and a dollop of lemon mayo. Easy and quick to cook.

serve with M&S sides of your choosing.

Thanks for those suggestions, we have garlicky chicken (though perhaps not with 40 cloves!) quite often and without meaning to sound rude the tuna steak - though lovely - with new pots and veg sounds very 'plain' and probably a tad too healthy sounding for dh. Though something fishy sounds good, both love fish pie so maybe a really luxurious one with some garlicky greens?

What I really want is a seafood restaurant meal bought to my door but that's not going to happen. Fish 'n' chips doesn't count Grin

What about something like salmon or trout with herb butter wrapped in filo - v quick and easy to make, not too heavy (as filo not puff pastry) and lovely with champagne. Could do with some lovely new pots and ready prepped m&s veg?

Do M&S. do any posh fish dishes in their 'dine in' range. I haven't bought any but have seen the adverts, think you get wine too on some of the offers.
Your right about the tuna and veg being plain, my partner is a bit of a creature of habit and not very adventurous so we do tend to eat plain.
This threads making me hungry, I would kill for a posh fish pie! Grin
Hope you find something you both like and have a great anniversary
