Dairy free spread to replace beloved Lurpak??

Just about to embark on 4 week dairy free trial to see if it helps my 4 month old LO's eczema and mucusy nappies. Sad to not have cheese and yoghurt but have had sudden panic over breakfast as butter is dairy doh! Have eaten toast for breakfast since primary school!
Am thinking could have peanut butter or mashed avocado on toast but are there any spreads that are dairy free and not rank? (and I can't even eat Flora as it seems so greasy and fake )

Honey is good just on its own on thin toast, or avocado and mango pureed together.

I'd do bruschetta with olive oil. Dnephew uses Pure but it's not good.

Vitalite is dairy free, but it's no match for Lurpack. Although you do get used to it after a while

Pure is the best of the non dairy spreads, but I think you'll find coconut oil (it's mostly solid at room temp) will feel / taste more luxurious.

Don't bother trying to replace butter with a spread.
Go down the oil and salt / peanut butter / something else that means no (vile) spread.

Really posh jam is OK minus spread tho improved by lashings of butter

We discovered that DS1 could tolerate butter on my toast in the mornings, and a little chocolate sometimes. I din't push the dairy any further than that.

Pure and vitalite aren't great. No substitute for lurpak IMO.

I'd go for lotus biscuit spread which is dairy free.

if its a lactose issue you can generally still have butter

Thanks - some other good ideas to try. trixy is lotus biscuit spread that crack-like stuff that is solely distributed by the power of Mumsnet? If so, where do I get it?
addicted -I'm interested in the oil and salt. A spread of oil sprinkled with salt or is there something more to it?

Brush your bread with oil and toast, sprinkle with some sea salt before grilling if needed, rub with raw garlic for bruschetta.

Yes it is. It can be found with the jams and other spreads.

M&s dairy free spread is pretty good. Works well for cakes too

I've done it as get some bread, pour a little oil into a dish, and grind sea salt over the top. Dunk bread - I guess a variation on oil and balsamic vinager. Have you seen that done?
