How could I make a healthy and cheaper version of this M&S kids meal?

My one year old son loves a meal from M&S which I give him if I'm in a hurry and he loves it.

Chicken, sweet corn, pasta and ham - all easy so far but there is a creamy sauce over it and I have no idea how to replicate it since I hate cream sauces myself.

Any ideas what I could try that would be tasty, healthy and cheaper than a ready meal?

No idea what this is like but found it by googling - you could chuck in sweet corn and pasta:

Chicken Baby Food Recipes - Chicken in a Creamy Bread Sauce

This unusual recipe is very easy to prepare and its creamy texture is great for tots!

1 boneless, skinless chicken breast
8 fl oz (1 cup) homemade (or no-salt) chicken broth/stock
1 slice whole wheat bread
2 fl oz (1/4 cup) milk
pinch dried thyme (optional)

In a small saucepan, simmer the chicken breast and thyme (if using) in the broth until cooked throughout.
Remove the chicken (reserving the broth) and allow to cool a little.
Soak the bread in the milk until softened, then add 4 fl oz (1/2 cup) of the reserved broth.
Place in a food processor and blend until smooth and creamy.
Shred the chicken, then combine with the sauce.

Serve over well chopped pasta, or with brown rice and your baby's favourite steamed veggie!

This dish is also yummy served chilled as a special chicken salad for baby!

You can make a v simple white sauce in a pan in minutes. Melt a spoonful of butter in pan, mix in spoonful,of corn flour and gradually stir in milk ( not sure how much, I just keeping adding it bit by bit) bring to gentle boil and switch off heat once it is thick and creamy. I usually throw in a handful of grated cheese at the end Smile
