I have never tried one - am I missing out? If so which do you recommend? I like sickly things lol eg on a carrot cake prefer the frosting to the actual cake - would never be interested in just a blueberry muffin for example - too plain for me.
thanks

I had a chocolate praline one once. I enjoyed it but I haven't been back. I dont get the hype

The original glazed ones are lush, could eat them for days. Wasn't overly impressed with the lemon meringue obe or the chocolate one.
They are over-priced though

Yes they do seem expensive - I might just stick with my carrot cake or my chocolate thanks!

They do a millionaires' shortbread one. It's amazing.

I always get the chocolate dreamcake. It is heaven in a bun. I like that its more of a bread-nut than a doughnut I don't like traditional donuts.

I think you'd love most of them. I think that most of them are too sweet and over flavoured, so I like the plain ring ones best.

We are in the north of Scotland and there are no Krispy Kreme doughnuts shops in Scotland (there is one in Edinburgh now but it has only recently opened). We love them, my favourite is millionaires shortbread. We always find a Krispy Kreme doughnut shop whe we are in England.

Last year I asked ds what we should do in the October holidays and we opted for shopping in Manchester because there is a Krispy Kreme doughnut shop there. It was a six hour drive there (and the same back), but we didn't tell dh that's why we were going to Manchester, lol.

I really like the maple syrup ones. As you like sickly things you'll prob like all the filled ones, which I find too sickly. However, in the donut spectrum I'd say they're somewhere in the middle between freshly made donut stall ones and supermarket ones

Cream filled glazed was the best but they stopped them Sad

They seem to sell them in most Tesco stores and there are loads of Tescos near me - I have always walked past them - they are always near the door and newspapers - I will take a look next time I am there and there is a Tesco about half an hour away from me that has a Krispy Kreme store on the ground floor - I am rather worried that I won't stop at one though.

Vile and ridiculously overpriced. Even my doughnut loving youngest agrees.

Original glazed, kruller, maple donut. Best ones in the universe.

They've got a bit of a funny taste to them I think... Like a particular synthetic tang, and they are very sweet. But sometimes that can hit the spot!

Nothing beats fresh 'seaside' doughnuts though. I'm a bit obsessed by those.

Inhaled 8 original ones once without drawing breath. Was proud and disgusted all at once and my conscience only just stopped me polishing off the remaining 4!

Chocolate glazed, custard filled are my fave but soooo sweet can only manage one!

I don't like KrispyKremes but I am somewhat desperate to try a cronut. My manhattan cousins are wild about them - they're donuts made with croissant dough Shock

Xiao I've read about cronuts. There were massive queues from stupid o'clock in the morning and they restrict two per customer. I wonder if they live up to the vibe?

Used to love them but then I found out they contain trans fats so I stopped buying them.
