No, very rare for us to have one, about twice a year to keep my hand in for Christmas. DH and DS aren't keen on them, I'm take it or leave it.

Very rarely, although we do tend to have a pudding, which we don't have during the week.

We do most weeks although its not quite the full roast in summer. In honour of the sun being out today I'm doing Gammon in honey and mustard with new potatoes and veg followed by Apple Pie and Ice Cream.

Nope. I usually do our big, family, 2-course dinner on a Monday because it's quieter than Sunday.

It's not always a roast. Tomorrow we're having toad in the hole with venison sausages and roasted veg, followed by some kind of meringue-based dessert.

Roast beef here today. We do normally do a roast as DS likes it. Sometimes have something like lasagna instead though.

We will all eat together as a family this evening (doesn't often happen tbh) but we are having cottage pie, rather than a roast. I find making a cottage pie a bit of a faff, actually, would rather do a roast!

We are today but we rarely do. We're having turkey, roasties, veg. No yorkshires today though.

Just waiting on an ETA for DD1 who's at the seaside so I know when to start cooking. It's all ready to go.

Hardly ever have a roast, I love em but DH is not fussed. Although the clean up is a pain so not too bad.

we are having wraps with southern fried chicken, salad, salsa, etc. We sometimes have lasagne, bolognese, toad in the hole and occasionally a roast.

No, only one of the kids is fussed about roast dinners so I rarely bother. Spaghetti carbonara for supper tonight Smile

Always a big Sunday meal here. Weekends are the only times DH, teenage DCs and I sit down and eat together so I like to do something special - not always a roast sometimes a big lasagne or some such - today it's a slow roast pulled pork with polenta and ratatouille.

We've got into a bit of a pattern over the last few weeks of having a bit of a 'dumbed down' Sunday roast, after not having them much at all for years.

Today it was:

Nut cutlets (Waitrose)
Roast sweet and normal potatoes (the only thing we prepared from scratch!)
Stuffing (Paxo)
Vege (frozen)
Gravy (Bisto)
Mint sauce (bought)

Lazy but the dds gobble it up with more enthusiasm than most of my lovingly made from scratch meals. :)

No roast for us.today, but I always cook and sit for a family meal on a Sunday. We rarely eat at once and hardly ever at the table so I make the effort on a Sunday. I always try a new recipe or meal, todays was a poached chicken and freekah wheat dish. Next week is likely to be a leg of lamb, shredded and stuffed in pitta with an harissa sauce.

No roast for us today but only because we were away for the weekend. It's the same story next weekend but we should be back on track the weekend after.

If the weather is nice then we usually have roast meat with salads but if it's cold then it's meat, roasties, yorkshire puddings, stuffing and veg.

Just finished roast chicken, parsnips, carrots, yorkshires, potatoes. green beans gravy. Then ice cream. Dh cooked and dcs clear up. It's quite a cost effective way to feed six big eaters. Had cheese on toast with beans at lunch.

Chicken and chick pea curry tomorrow, and will make soup to freeze.

We usually do a special Sunday meal but it's rarely a traditional roast - usually it's a an opportunity to try out a new dish.

We went out to a nice pub. We spent all day (and yesterday) sorting and decluttering getting ready to move in a couple of weeks. We needed the break.
