DD going away trekking, cooking in evenings but needs packed lunch for Sat & Sun. Have frozen water bottles to put in thermos bags to help keep stuff fresh. I know some people freeze sarnies & let them defrost in lunchboxes.

Can I freeze Ham sandwiches &what about peanut butter? (Thinking of Sunday here)

Will need to freeze this morning as going away tonight.

TIA

I remember that my biology teacher used to always freeze his sanwiches on a sunday night, for the following week, and take them out of the freezer every morning...

he used to have loads of random stuff and things like lettuce and cucmeber too...

he always ate them and didnt have a problem with them

(personally cant imagine eating defrosted cuecumber!)

I would say definitely for the ham ones, not sure about the peanut butter ones, but I reckon they should be ok.

I think cheese would freeze well too. My guess would be to avoid anything that will go a bit watery when it defrosts in case it makes the bread go soggy. Shock
